Gabrielle Aplin is heading back to Cornwall as part of a UK tour to promote the release of her debut album.
She will be at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on Wednesday, March 27.
First seen by Cornish music fans on the main stage at Boardmasters in Newquay, last summer, English singer songwriter Aplin enjoyed major chart success at the end of 2012 with her number one single The Power of Love, a cover of the Frankie Goes To Hollywood track.
Aplin started playing guitar at the age of 11 and soon developed a style influenced by her parents’ musical tastes, such as Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
She started to develop her fan base by posting her performances on YouTube, with covers of the likes of You Me At Six and Katy Perry. She soon became a YouTube sensation and attracted the attention of record labels.
In 2012 she signed to Parlophone records and 2013 is gearing up to be a busy year, as she will be releasing her debut album in March alongside a UK tour.
Doors open 7.30pm; standing room only. Advance tickets cost £10 from the Pavilion box office on 01326 211222, or online via SeeTickets and the Hall for Cornwall in Truro.
