Pirates prop Andrew set to join Worcester Pirates prop Andrew set to join Worcester

It has been officially confirmed this morning that Cornish Pirates prop forward Paul Andrew will be leaving the club at the end of the season to join Premiership side Worcester Warriors.

Aged 24, since joining the Cornish Pirates in 2008, Truro-born Paul has developed steadily and impressively, and to date has made 99 appearances for the club.

Speaking with reference to Paul's move to 'Sixways', which is a path similarly taken in the past by former Pirates Ben Gulliver (now at Bedford), Sam Betty, and Blair Cowan, Cornish Pirates head coach Ian Davies commented: "While obviously disappointed to be losing Paul it is a fantastic opportunity for him to build on his time here at the Pirates. It is a well worn path from the Mennaye to the Premiership so our coaching methods must be doing okay!"
