Sports fixtures across the county have suffered postponements due to the bad weather.

The Cornish Pirates' game against Rotherham Titans was called off, the rescheduled for Sunday, then called off again after heavy snowfall in South Yorkshire.

Elsewhere in football all Peninsula League premier division fixtures were cancelled due to the bad weather, with Falmouth Town's trip to Liverton United rescheduled for Monday, May 6.

There was better news in division one west, where Penryn Athletic's game against Wadebridge was given the go ahead, as was Porthleven's home tie against Holsworthy and Helston's clash with Dobwalls at Kellaway Parc.

Helston's game being played means defender Ahsley Stidwell will serve the final game of his suspension and will therefore be available for the Cornwall Senior Cup final against Bodmin Town.

In the Blue Squre Bet South, Truro City's home tie against league leaders Welling looked set to go ahead pending a late pitch inspection on Saturday morning.
