Falmouth relinquish top spot after defeat against Callington

Falmouth have relinquished top spot in the ECB Cornwall Premier League after defeat against Callington at Trescobeas on Saturday.
Werrington's victory against St Austell leaves them eight points clear at the top with a visit to Trescobeas on the final day of the season looming large.
It all started so well for Falmouth, who dismissed Callington openers Matthew Robins (10) and Adrian Robins (16) relatively cheaply.
Dan Davis steadied the ship with a solid 25 for the visitors, but it was the performance of Nick Parker, batting at seven, which stood out.
His 52 helped Callington to a total of 183, which Falmouth set about chasing.
Things startes badly for Adrian Noott's side after opener Richard Kellow fell for just eight runs. Stefan Churcher (23) and Matt Goldsbury (26) had useful knocks, and looked comfortable.
But after Matthew Robins had Churcher caught, and Aidan Libby bowled Goldsbury, Falmouth sufferd a middle order collapse, losing four wickets for just 18 runs.
Only Jon Udy's stubborn 43 not out gave them any hope of chasing down Callington's total.
But it wasn't to be. Falmouth's tail order could only manage 22 runs between them, and they were all out for 159.
