Gig clubs from across Cornwall gathered in Cadgwith on Saturday for the annual Buller Day.
This attracts large crowds of spectators each year, who congregate in the harbour or find vantage points on the cliffs above to watch the gig racing.
Boats began arriving from 9.30am, ahead of the coxes meeting at 1pm before racing began at 1.30pm.
There were races for under 14s, veterans, under 16s, ladies’, men’s and mixed teams.
The day remained dry and racing was able to go ahead as planned.
A barbecue was run throughout the day, with cakes and refreshments also sold from the gig shed.
With the racing over for the day, celebrations continued into the evening thanks to a licensed bar set up in the gig shed and a live band providing music, together with Cadgwith’s famous sea shanty singing.
Secretary Rachel Holder said: “Cadgwith Pilot Gig Club would like to thank all of you who help and support us, and those who sponsor us – it really helps. The costs are high, maintaining the gigs, the clubhouse running costs, transport to the events, safety and clothing and a lot more.”
