Town thrashed at home by high-flying Godolphin
After a disappointing result away at Elburton Villa on Saturday, Town manager Robbie Stephens admitted he'd be happy with a draw against the G Men, who have taken the Carlsberg Peninsula Premier League by storm since winning promotion from division one west last season.
But lacking confidence, and facing one of the league's in-form sides, it was always going to be tough going for Town - and so it proved to be.
Godolphin opened the scoring after 27 minutes thanks to a Scott Flannigan goal, and doubled their lead on the half hour mark through Ollie Dart.
A brief Falmouth rally the other side of half time saw Town threaten to pull one back, but Richard Griffin's 67th minute strike put the result beyond doubt, and two more goals in the last ten minutes compounded Town's misery.
Elsewhere Ivybridge eased past Liskeard 3-0, Launceston were on the wrong end of a 2-1 result at home against Darren Gilbert's Bodmin Town, and St Austell and Torpoint played out a thrilling 4-4 draw, with Torpoint equalising late on to take a share of the points.
