ELMORE 0
FALMOUTH TOWN 3
A second half hat-trick from Falmouth Town striker Andy Westgarth saw John Dent register his first win as manager, and Falmouth's second victory of their league campaign.
The two sides went in at half time with the scores tied at 0-0, but after the break Westgarth struck with two well-timed volleys in quick succession, and a tidy finish from a one-on-one with the Elmore keeper to secure a morale-boosting result ahead of Bodmin Town's visit to Bickland Park on Tuesday night.
The two week break seems to have done Falmouth a world of good, as Dent and assistant manager Gary Pascoe welcomed Ross Pope back from injury, and gave a start to new signing Gary Bell from Penzance.
Ed Timmons hit the post and defender Jamie Webb missed two back-post opportunities to put Falmouth ahead before Domininc Bachelor saw his long range effort drift wide as Falmouth took control in the opening 45 minutes.
And it was much the same story after the break as Town continued to dominate.
The opener came when Bryan Harrison's surging run down the right wing saw him pull the ball back for Westgarth, who side-footed in on the volley.
Ten minutes later Town made it two. Dan Richardson's teasing cross from the left hand side picked out Wesgarth, who volleyed in his second.
Town wrapped up the victory late on when Calron Hall's through ball found the feet of Westgarth, and he rounded the keeper to slot home.
"I think overall it's our most complete performance of the season," said Pascoe. "We played exceptionally well and Westy took the chances he had. We also had a good, strong bench which makes a massive difference. The lads have been working on their fitness levels over the last three or four weeks, and that's starting to show."
Falmouth play Bodmin at Bickland Park on Tuesday night.
