New Falmouth Town reserve team managers Danny Knowles and Marc Rose secured their first win at the helm with a 3-1 victory over Penryn Athletic reserves at Bickland Park in the Combination League Cup.

Goals from Richard Kellow, Joe Perrin and Kevin Morris were enough to see Town past  a stubborn Penryn side who had former Town player Bobby Bryant to thank for their goal.

Elswhere in the Combination League Cup Wendron saw off the challenge of Porthleven for the second week running by the same scoreline.

Paul Murray's side ran out 2-0 winners at Under Lane to book their place in the next round of the competition.

Meanwhile there were 5-0 wins for both Illogan RBL and league leaders St Day, who entertained Goonhavern and Redruth United respectively.

RNAS Culdrose ran out narrow 2-1 victors at home against Falmouth Athletic, and Mullion beat Ludgvan by the same scoreline.

In the only league game of the day, St Ives Town beat struggling Troon 3-1.
