Falmouth II 2 Launceston 2
Falmouth 2nds were at home at Penryn College on Saturday to middle of the table Launceston.
With a mainly young team and missing several regular players there needed to be a few changes to positions.
Gill Lister moved into the defensive midfield role to support the less experienced juniors in defence, who both played extremely well. Goalkeeper, June Moore and central defender Sonia Wilcox played well to contain the experienced Launceston forwards.
An early goal from Launceston put them ahead but Falmouth responded well with some good attacking forward play from Iona Middleton, Alice Bowman, Emma Bragg and Ella Philpott. The midfield of Leonie Coutelle, Molly Phillips and Emily Byers worked hard and a goal from Molly Phillips evened up the score by half time.
In the second half Falmouth took the lead when Iona Middleton's strike beat the 'keeper. The defence played well to hold a renewed attack by Launceston but an equaliser from the visitors gave a final score of 2-2.
