Wendron's excellent run came to an end at Under Lane on Saturday after Paul Murray's side were beaten by St Just.

The visitors raced into a two goal lead, before Luke Wort pulled a one back for the 'dron late on - but it wasn't enough.

St Just are now level on points with Wendron, who slip to fourth after St Day beat St Ives Town 3-1 at home to help banish the memory of last week's defeat against Illogan.

Elsewhere Porthleven reserves made the defending league champions work hard for all three points at Gala Parc.

Port were eventually beaten 1-2, but will feel that if they can replicate Saturday's performance it won't be long before they claw their way clear of the danger zone at the foot of the table.

Mullion secured the bragging rights in their local derby against Hayle, with victory seeing them leapfrog Falmouth Town reserves into eighth place in the league after Town were beaten 3-2 away from home by RNAS Culdrose.

League newcomers Redruth United cruised past struggling Troon 3-0, and Ludgvan hammered St Agnes 7-1 at home.

Penryn Athletic put a recent string of poor results behind them with a well-deserved victory at Mount Wise against Newquay.

Full results were as follows:

Hayle 2 - 3 Mullion
Ludgvan 7 - 1 St Agnes
Newquay 0 - 2 Penryn Athletic
Perranwell 3 - 0 Falmouth Ath
Porthleven 1 - 2 Illogan RBL
