For the final away game in 2013, the Cornish Pirates travel to Jersey on Saturday for the second of their back to back games against the Islanders in the British & Irish Cup.

As clear leaders of Pool Six, with three bonus point wins from three under their belts the Cornish Pirates are presently clear favourites for a quarter-finals spot scheduled for the weekend 4/5/6 April, but with two games left after this weekend's encounter they'll rightly be taking nothing for granted.

17 of their selected squad appeared against Jersey in last Saturday's encounter, whilst the fresh faces are prop Ben Prescott, who has recovered from sickness, full-back Kieran Goss, and replacements Kieran Davies, Joe Atkinson and Tom Kessell.

Ahead of this weekend's game the Cornish Pirates Head Coach, Ian Davies, commented:
“We've had two closely fought games against Jersey in the past month, losing one and winning one.

“They will clearly be keen to give a good account of themselves at home, especially just before Christmas, whilst our focus will be to perform well and strive to achieve another bonus point Cup win.”
