Heavy rain has badly disrupted the weekend's sports fixtures across the county - again.

Falmouth Town's trip to Camelford in the SWPL premier division was postponed on Saturday morning.

Of eight scheuled matches in the league only St Blazey's game against Ivybridge Town at Blaise Park is set to go ahead.

In division one west Penryn Athletic's match against Foxhole Stars also fell foul of the weather, as did Helston Atheltic's big match at Kellaway Park against league leaders Mousehole.

Truro City Reserves' game against Bude at Treyew Road, and Perranporth's home match against Dobwalls were the only games to survive. Both matches kick off at 3pm.

Goonhavern's game against St Just was the last of the day's Jolly's Cornwall Combination League fixtures still on pending an 11.30am pitch inspection.

St Dennis and Launceston will try for the fifth time to get their Cornwall Senior Cup third round match on at Pennygillam on Tuesday night after their game was also postponed.

Meanwhile in the day's rugby, Penryn's away trip to Teignmouth was called off due to a waterlogged pitch in Devon.
