Falmouth Athletic 0 St Ives 0

A game dominted by defences saw Falmouth Athletic hold St Ives to a goalless draw at the Dracaena Playing Fields.

Both goalkeepers made superb stops to keep the scores level, with George Hattam missing St Ives' best chance in the first half, and Joe Benney firing wide for Athletic soon after.

Adam George hit the post for St Ives during a second half which saw both sides miss chances to take the lead.

But in the end a draw was a fair result. St Ives are still in the hunt for a top five spot, while Athletic sit 16th, level on points with Troon but with the comfort of games in hand.

Falmouth Town 0 Penryn Athletic 1

Ryan Martt's goal inside three minutes proved decisive in a tepid local derby at Bickland Park which failed to set pulses racing.

Unsurprising, perhaps, given that the two sides' seasons are effectively over. Town sit two places above Penryn in 10th, and with nothing to play for the two rival sides were left to go through the motions.

Martt's goal, backheeled into the corner from a Ryan Reeve cross, provided the only real moment of drama, until the final few minutes when Penryn keeper Symon Winnan was called into action to keep the home side out.

With Marc Rose and Danny Knowles set to step down as Falmouth Town joint-managers, the club expects to announce a successor some time this week.

Mullion 1 Hayle 0

After Mullion hammered Goonhavern 11-0 last week, Hayle may have feared the worst going into Saturday's game at Clifden Parc.

As it was the visitors managed to restrict them to a single goal midway through the second half, courtesy of top-scorer Alan Thomas. They may even have snatched a point had Lee Cattran not missed a penalty.

Thomas's goal was well deserved. The forward jinked his way past two Hayle defenders before finding the bottom corner with a fierce drive.

Mullion face St Day in the league cup semi-final at Gala Parc on Easter Sunday. Kick off is at 3pm.

Perranwell 1 St Just 4

After their impressive performance against Illogan ten days ago, Perranwell will be disappointed to have capitulated so meekly against St Just.

In their defence the home side were without several first team players, but take nothing away from St Just, this was a well deserved win.

They were forced to come from behind to claim it, however, as Perranwell took the lead through Dan Senior's excellent strike.

Jack Willis drew them level, before Rob Troon, Neil Curnow and Darren Steadman struck in the second half to secure the win.

St Agnes 2 Porthleven 1

Porthleven did all they could to frustrate St Agnes at Enys Parc, but in the end they couldn't keep the home side out.

St Agnes took the lead in an even first half when Nick Perry nodded in Adam Barnicoat's cross.
And the home side may have gone further ahead had they taken any of the several chances they created.

Shane Miller drew Port level after the retstart, but the visitors' hopes of cuasing an upset were dashed when Perry scored his second of the game to seal the points for St Agnes.
Porthleven are now seven points adrift at the foot of the table.

St Day 2 Ludgvan 4

Ludgvan kept in touch at the top of the table with victory over St Day at Vogue Parc - a win that maintains their 12 game unbeaten run.

Gerens James scored a hat-trick to take his total for the season to an astonishing 55 goals - four shy of the league's all-time record for goals scored in a season.

Gavin Boon put St Day ahead in the 10th minute, before doubling his tally just before the break.
But James fired in his first of the afternoon soon after, before finishing off a good move by Ross Williams for his second, then rounding off his hat-trick with a 25 yard lob.

Tom Patrick's scrappy effort from just inside the six yard box sealed the win for Ludgvan.

Goonhavern 2 Troon 2

Goonhavern must have thought they had this game in the bag, leading 2-1 with 90 minutes up on the clock.

But a penalty conceded in the third minute of stoppage time handed Troon a lifeline, and up stepped Ashley Smeeth to fire in a priceless equaliser.

The home side had gone a goal up in the first half when Chris Locke ghosted into the box late to nod in Lewis Waters's corner.

But just after the hour mark Smeeth scored his first of the game to level the scores.

Troon went 2-1 up when player-manager Craig Brown scored from the penalty spot.

But Smeeth's late leveller meant the points were shared, and as a result the situation at the foot of the table remains unchanged.

Redruth 1 Newquay 1
Redruth's first season as a Combination League club has been one to remember, and their draw at home against Newquay means they remain third in the table.

Barry McCabe scored their only goal of the game, dinking the ball over the top of the advancing keeper before tapping into an empty net.

Both sides cancelled each other out in the second half, until just after the hour mark when Jamie Cooper's clumsy challenge in the box led to a penalty, and Ollie Downing fired in via the inside of the post to ensure a share of the point for the Peppermints.
