Falmouth ladies finished their season as County Champions on Saturday, completing the season undefeated.

The team had been due to play premier league side Bude in the final of the County Cup but a flurry of illness left Bude with only eight players and they had to pull out of the game on the day.

Although Falmouth were initially disappointed at not being able to play they knew that the semi final game they played against Newquay last month was a worthy final.

Newquay finished third in the premier league, above Bude, and Falmouth, having been promoted, will face both sides next season.

Along the way to the title Falmouth also recorded an 11-1 win over Camborne School of Mines.
The next action for Falmouth will be against Penzance in their continued defence of the county mixed hockey title.

Are you thinking that you would like to try or come back to hockey?  Falmouth are running sessions for all ages at Penryn College on Thursdays from 1st May until 5th June, 6.30-7.30. Please contact 01326 315958 for more details.
