A SINGLE point separated the top two teams at the ETS Cup at Falmouth Golf Course in a close run affair.

The trio of Andy Kemp, Simon Cooper and Clive Ahrens took home the spoils with their combined aggregate score of 82 over the 18 holes.

This total put the threesome just one point ahead of nearest rivals Paul Collins, Terry Dickinson and Nick Morrison.

Both groups were level on points after the first nine holes, but it was Kemp, Cooper and Ahrens who held firm on the home stretch, with a birdie by Kemp on the 12th proving crucial.

Bob Brown, Nick Brown and Ray Clark completed the top three places finishing on 80 points.

Meanwhile at Budock Vean Golf Club, a round of 65 from Chris Mason saw him claim the Benney Shield.

In the Ruberry Cup competition, Charlie Averiss topped the leaderboard with a round of 67, beating Dave Allen into second place by five shots.

The EWGA Medal was also fought for on the same course by female golfers in wet and windy conditions.

Despite the weather, Lesley Upperton was able to clinch the win with a round of 69.
