CORNWALL rugby star Jamal Ford-Robinson is the latest name to sign a contract with the Cornish Pirates.
The prop forward has joined the Mennaye Field side from Cambridge after agreeing terms on a two year contract.
Ford-Robinson, who grew up in Penryn, was a member of the Cornwall Rugby squad who made it to the Bill Beaumont Cup Final this year.
Pirates director of rugby Ian Davies said: "Jamal came down for a week and trained with us back in 2011/12 and I’ve kept tabs on him ever since.
"He impressed playing for Cambridge and Cornwall this season and I’m sure will make an impact at Championship level. Anything beyond that will be down to his desire and work ethic."
