SUNBEAMS raced off with each other to celebrate a landmark anniversary during the recent Falmouth Classics Rally and Regatta.
The Falmouth Sunbeam Association commemorated their 90th birthday by holding a race as part of their annual championships in the waters off the town's coast.
A total of 13 boats participated with first place for the second year in a row were the team of Stuart Sawyer and Roger Ford onboard the V19 Audrey, who were presented a brand new trophy donated by Pendennis Shipyard at the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club.
Runners up in the race were Steve Treen and Neil Andrew in their V20 Verity while third place went to Ben Carne and Barnie Peters on the V34 Vanity.
A prize was also given out to Claire Bailey for best lady helm after her display onboard the V37 Caprice with the boat's owner James Pendrich acting as crew.
