GOLF: Players scramble around at Falmouth
A CLOSE contest was had by golfers in Falmouth during a Texas Scramble competition.
Teams of four took part in the tournament sponsored by St Austell Brewery held at Falmouth Golf Course.
The winners were Andy McKnight, Ross Taylor, Steve Thomas and Nicky Chinn who went round the 18 holes with a total of 55.
This score put them just ahead of Tony Annear, Laurie Magowan, Chris Timmins and Callum Davis who finished on 55.3 points.
In third place were Paul Collins, Zac Annear, Steve Robbins and Gareth Holt with a total of 55.9.
Nearest to the pin competitions were also held on eighth and eleventh holes with Steve Wicks winning on the eighth hole and Nicky Chinn getting nearest to the 11th hole.
