THE DRAW for this year’s Ron Curnow Memorial Cup has been made.

Lizard Argyle will host the first match against St Keverne on July 22 before Mullion play Cury the following day.

The final will be played at Mullion’s ground on July 26 between the winners of the two matches during the week, with a third place play-off being held beforehand.

It will be the third year the tournament has been held after being started up in 2012 to commemorate the life of Ron Curnow.

In December 2011, Curnow who was a stalwart of football on the Lizard Peninsula and heavily involved with all four clubs died.

Following his death, the sides set up the tournament in his memory. The first year saw St Keverne run out as winners beating Cury 7-1 in the final.

Last year the same team triumphed again this time time beating Lizard in a penalty shoot-out.
