CORNWALL’S only lady golf pro played in a pro-am at Trethorne Golf Club.

Katie Rule, who lives in Falmouth, played at the par 71 course with weather conditions being harder than usual due to strong prevailing winds with 32 teams entering from across South West England and Wales.

The conditions did not phase Rule or her team, pictured above, consisting of two players she regularly coaches locally, Emily Toy and Ashley Jackson, along with Cameron Kenworthy, from St Mellion.

The team carded a fantastic 12 under par to win the tournament while Rule, the only lady pro playing, came third in the individual pros event with a 71.

Jackson also scooped first place in the longest drive competition held during the event.
