FEMALE golfers battled it out for a number of trophies at Falmouth.

The Bailey Trophy and Wells Flagon Medal was won by Donna Craig with a round of 73, closely followed by Jane Barrington with 74.

The Jack Macgregor Trophy was won by Jane Wooldridge with 36 points, narrowly beating Janet Bishop and Mary Bennetts who both finished on 35.

Brenda Arch took home the Wilson Fox par competition with a brilliant 5up score. Runner up was Ella Richards with a 3up score. The nine hole competition was won by Barbara Powell.

A ladies club day was also hosted at the course with a great turnout arriving for the Mitchell Trophy competition. Despite having to play through a few heavy downpours, Richards went one better than in the Wilson Fox tournament by winning the prize with a score of 66, six ahead of second placed Lynne Dickinson.

In the afternoon, a nine hole foursomes was played with the winning team being Arch and Craig who carded 20 points.
