TITLE holders Helston will defend their Mining Evening League crown on Wednesday after winning their semi-final on Thursday evening.
The side beat Redruth, who they defeated in last season's final, by six wickets after restricting their opponents to 123-8 in the first innings of the Twenty20 game.
Philip Treloar claimed amazing figures of five for eight in his four overs for the champions before Justin Matthews hit a dominant 56 not out opening the batting in Helston's reply to see them home with three balls to spare.
They will now face Mount Hawke in the final after their nine run victory against Perranarworthal in the other semi final, being played at Redruth on Wednesday, starting at 6pm.
