A CHILDREN’S hospice has been chosen by the Cornish Pirates as their charity for the 2014/15 season.
Litter Harbour, which is run by the Children’s Hospice South West charity in Porthpean, will be the focus of the Mennaye Field side’s fundraising with events set to be hosted by the club.
Last Christmas, Pirates players visited the hospice with presents donated by fans and were impressed by the services provided there by staff.
Mary Murfin, community fundraiser for the charity, said: “Along with the rest of the fundraising and care team at Little Harbour, I feel very excited that the Cornish Pirates have chosen CHSW as their charity to fundraise for.
“The team and their supporters have already made some very generous donations to the hospice and we are pleased to be able to continue this relationship and hope that all their supporters will help the players with their season of fundraising.
