FEMALE rugby players have had their achievements from last season celebrated at Camborne ahead of the 2014/15 campaign’s start.

The womens and girls section of the club have gone back into pre-season training, but before the season begins, they took the time to reflect on the previous 12 months on the field.

Medals and certificates were handed out to squad members. Among the successes celebrated were Michaella Roberts, who recently took part in a summer camp hosted at RAF Cosford, in Wolverhampton, which saw players from across the UK participate.

Following the completion of the camp, Robers was selected to be part of the National Talent Development Group, which consists of 40 elite players around the country.

Any woman or girl aged 12 or over who is interested in giving the sport a go are welcome to try at the club.

Training sessions are held on Monday evenings between 6pm and 7.30pm at Crane Park.

For more information, call Dave Roberts on 07523 419992.
