THE Falmouth, and former Stithians opening bowler Glyn Furnival has been called up for Cornwall’s final Unicorns Championship game of the season, against Dorset at Bournemouth on Sunday.
He is set to make his debut along with batsman David Hoskings from Grampound Road. Tom Hughes has also been recalled, after being unavailable for the last game.
Hoskings is the third highest run scorer in the Premier League this year and Furnival, pictured below, has taken 21 wickets.
He topped the County Division One averages last year with 52 for Stithians.
They replace Dan Jarman, Lewis Sanders and Shakil Ahmed.
In announcing the team Manager Godfrey Furse, on behalf of the selectors, thanked Ahmed for his commitment, attitude and ability to win games and hopes his shoulder injury soon improves.
