In the afternoon, 30 adults joined them for the fun adult junior foursomes competition.

Jordan Musitano, a member of West Cornwall Golf Club, grabbed the title for the best gross score for the boys with his round of 70, beating Tom Lentern from Falmouth by two shots.

Topping the nett scoreboard was Finn Rule, also from West Cornwall, with his score of 64 putting him two ahead of local golfer Aiden Gilbert, who went onto win the foursomes competition alongside Peter Gilbert with 41 points.

Truro’s Emily Wilson carded a gross tally of 81 to wins the girls section while Danielle Price from Perranporth had a nett of 71 to win.

It was the turn of the elder players to battle for the Club Seniors Championship at the course on Monday.

A field of 50 entered the competition and David Dale came out on top with 67 points.
