THE FAMOUS Grouse Trophy was played for in windy conditions at Praa Sands Golf and Country Club on Sunday.
Fred Hayne came out on top with his net score of 60, putting him one shot ahead of Rodger Pearce in second place. Scott Willet finished third with a round of 62 after carding the best gross score of 68.
Other competitions on the day included a nearest to the pin contest, won by Ray Crebo, and longest drive which went to Ed Leah.
On Saturday, Judy Thomas won the ladies’ stableford after scoring 36 points, beating Jackie Quick by three while Wendy Keys finished third on 32.
Alison Jacka was victorious in another stableford match played on Wednesday, this time over nine holes, with a total of 18.
