DREAMS of Wembley will be a good distraction from the league on Saturday for Porthleven - according to their manager Dennis Annear.
The South West Peninsula League West side travel to St Austell for the First Qualifying Round of the FA Vase.
With Ilfracombe Town pulling out of the competition, the winners of the tie will go straight into the First Round proper which takes place on November 1.
Annear expects the game will be a tough test for his team as they face opponents one league above them in the pecking order, but he believes his side can pull off a result.
“It will be a hard match on Saturday,” Annear said.
“All I am really looking for from the game if for our boys to put in the best performance they can.
“On the optimistic side, sometimes in these types of clashes the bigger team can drop their standards as they think it will be easy for them.
“Playing in these competition is nice because it is associated with Wembley, so it brings up those types of dreams and that can spur the guys on.”
