PENRYN Rugby Club are starting their youth training sessions for 2014/15 on Sunday.

The club are inviting players aged between five and 16-years-old to come along to the Memorial Ground from 10am.

Games in the under 7 and 8 sections are played in the tag rugby format before contact tackling is introduced at under 9s, with the club ethos being to make training fun and allow the children to develop at their own pace.

Alongside the registration sessions, the Cornish Pirates came to the club last week to run a rugby camp for young players.

Providing some of the coaching were former Borough youth players Ben Trevaskis and Jamal Ford-Robinson, both of who are know in the Pirates squad.

After the camp finished, the young rugby fans were given the chance to watch a full Pirates training session and speak to their favourite players.
