ROBERT Johnson recorded the best score at Budock Vean Golf Club for the annual Captain’s Day.
In the Stableford formatted competition hosted by captain Paul Upperton, Johnson won the top prize in the men’s section with 43 points while Sam Rule won the female competition on countback with 39 points.
The Best Man prize went to David Penrose who scored 42 while other awards were handed out to David Tippett, Keith Whitbread, Glenys Bateson and Tricia Blatter for their rounds.
Senior players also competed in a nine-hole Stableford match on the course which saw Keith Eccleston come first with 27.
beating Roger Mildren and Colin Bowden by three points.
Lady players were in action on the course alongside the seniors for their annual mixed greensomes contest with Dennis McQuillan and Nina Hann finishing on top with 44.
