A TOTAL of six changes have been made to the Cornish Pirates starting 15 for their match away at Bristol on Sunday.

Jamal Ford-Robinson, Aaron Carpenter and Tyler Gendall will feature in a new front row partnership while reshuffles among the rest of the pack sees Joe Atkinson come in at openside flanker and Matt Bolwell at number eight, with Laurie McGlone moving from the back of the scrum to the second row.

The only alteration to the backs sees Luke Jones, who will start on the wing, come in for Matt Evans with Kyle Moyle shifting to full-back for the game at Ashton Gate.

With the prospect of facing a Bristol side with two wins already under their belts compared to none from the Pirates, director of rugby Ian Davies said he expects it will be a hard match but feels his team can still get something out of it.

He said: "After picking up a few injuries last weekend, it's going to be tough but I think we can get some points at Bristol.

"We are looking forward to a new venue and maybe a bit more luck as the Memorial Stadium was not a happy hunting ground for us."

Bristol's starting line-up features international rugby players such as Wales' Matthew Morgan, Scotland's Ross Rennie and Samoa's Anthony Perenise, while Ben Skirving who has played once for England is on the subs bench.
