A FIRST win of the season came Falmouth's way on Saturday as they put together a dominant 43-3 victory over South Molton.

Both teams entered the match without a win in any of their first three Cornwall/Devon League games of the 2014/15 season, but it was the hosts who looked the better throughout.

Josh Symons, Tom David, Nick Carne, Tom Spiller, Justin Irons and Olly Church all went over for the Eagles, with the latter four coming in the second half.

Molton's only points came from a first half penalty kick and they appeared to be a side who struggling as their pack was over-run by Falmouth's, while numerous handling errors killed off any chances they had.

It was not a complete performance by Falmouth as they made several handling errors themselves which may have left a better opposition more opportunities on a different day.

But a bonus point win was just the tonic for a team who have shown fleeting moments in brilliance in their first three games, but to no reward.

They will also be pleased with the force their scrum showed and the amount of possession they had in Molton's half during the 80 minutes.
