ANY team not in the same division as them is who Falmouth Town want to face in the FA Vase first round.

This was the message from their manager John Dent after his side progressed into the main draw of the competition after making it through the second qualifying round.

The Ambers will face Odd Down away after the clubs were pulled out together during Monday’s draw.

Before the draw was made, Dent said he was not too fussed about playing home or away in the Vase, but added he would prefer to test his squad against teams from outside of Cornwall and the South West Peninsula League.

Dent said: “I just don’t want to play anyone who we play against regularly in the league.

“Playing in a competition like the FA Vase is good because it is a break from the mundane league action we have to play most weeks.

“That is why we go into competitions like this because we want to play different teams from other parts of the country and test ourselves against them.”
