PARATRIATHLETE Melissa Reid is already looking towards Rio in 2016 when her sport makes it's Paralympic debut.

Earlier this year it was announced by the International Paralympic Committee the PT5 category, which the Porthtowan athelte competes in, will be included at the next games in Brazil.

It has been another successful season for Reid as she retained her World Aquathon title along with finishing second in the World Paratriathlon and European Championships.

The 2013 world champion is now looking to get prepared for Rio.

Reid: "Classification going through to Rio is a dream come true and my whole focus from now is on that.

"It’s been a tough year physically and mentally but that is what is going to make me so much stronger for next season.

"I hope to make everyone in Cornwall and the UK proud in the next few years."
