FALMOUTH’S netball players won two games and lost this week as their three teams took to the court.

On Monday, the first team came up against Lastonets seconds at Falmouth School and had a tough first half as they held a 16-15 lead.

For the last two quarters though they as kept possession well and made a number of interceptions to build on their lead and win 33-27.

Straight after their game it was the turn of their third team who face the Falcons.

It was the Redruth-based side stormed to a 10-2 lead before the hosts clawed their way back into the game, making it 19-14 at half time.

The match got even tighter as Falmouth dug deep but they narrowly missed the last shot of the game, handing the Falcons a 29-28 win.

On Tuesday, a clash with Penzance awaited Falmouth’s second team and despite having to shuffle the line-up around, they were able to record a convincing 27-10 victory.
