HELSTON were unable to prevent Illogan Park from maintaining their 100 per cent start to the Tribute Cornwall One season.

The hosts continued to conquer all who come across them as they opened a 54 point gap between themselves and their opponents on Saturday to win 67-13.

Park ran in 11 tries, six of which were converted, compared to the two dotted down by Helston.

Both of the visitor’s successful ventures over the goal-line came from their forwards with prop Matt Penrose and number eight Guy Pallett.

A further three points were added from the boot of Devere Bond from the kicking tee after Helston won a penalty.

But braces from Ryan Bennetts and Martyn Lawrance set Park on their way to a comfortable victory with most of the damage being inflicted in the second half.

It was the second loss in a row for the Blues after their came unstuck against Veor seven days earlier, falling to a 48-8 defeat.

Another tough test awaits them next in the form of Newquay Hornets, who also had a good weekend with a sizeable 52-14 win over Camborne School of Mines to keep up their unbeaten run.

The match will be played at Clodgey Lane and kicks off at 2.15pm.
