PENRYN’S Under 13 side lost their first game of the season on Sunday as they were beaten 36-12 by Penzance.

An early try went to Penzance but Penryn picked up their tempo with great ferocity.

Penzance maintained most of the possession and got another try, but Borough did not let their heads drop as they pack showed good power and the backs handled the ball well.

This allowed Harry Callaghan to score two excellent tries for Borough in the space of three minutes.

The second half saw Penryn begin to tire against their bigger opponents and lapses in concentration saw Penzance score three tries.

Despite being 36-12 down, Penryn kept going with a determined showing which they can be proud of.
