DEFENDING South West Shinty League champions Mabe could not get the better of the division's newcomers Mylor Con on Saturday.
For the first time this season Mabe failed to win a game as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Falmouth School.
After a bright start, the champions took the lead in the ninth minute as Brendan Kelly scored.
Mylor did not buckle though and fought back with the reward of a fine goal by Alex Sivyer from 20 yards out in the 24th minute.
In the second half, the newcomers were in the ascendency with Cornwall's captain Matt Mossop helping them out.
Despite a number of shots on goal, they could not find a winner.
