PROMOTION has been secured by Penryn’s fourth team from Division Five of the Cornwall Netball League.
The side went into their final match of the season against Penzance fourths knowing a win would guarantee the second place spot they need to move up to Division Four.
They did not let nerves get the better of them though with a brilliant performance, controlling proceedings from the start to bag a 38-9 victory.
It is the second successive season the team, made up mostly from Under 16 players, has achieved promotion.
With their season completed, they will now be cheering on team-mates from the three other sides.
The firsts are currently top of Division One and hope to retain the title while the seconds and third are both in third position and within reach of the all important runners-up spot.
