A DISAPPOINTING finish happened to Falmouth Ladies’ league season as they were taken apart by a lethal Teign attack.
By half time the scoreline read 4-1 at Penryn College in favour of the visitors and at the end of the clash another goal had been added to their total.
Swift passing and closing defender down in pairs paved the way for Teign’s victory as they looked much hungrier than their hosts.
They opened the scoring in the fifth minute and two more were quickly added.
Teign got a fourth in the first half before Amy Tatlow dribbed around the visiting defence to set up Sam Dunstan, who knocked the ball home.
After the break, Falmouth looked much brighter and came close on a couple of occasions with Tatlow and Kat Barbery-Redd both hitting the post.
The match was rounded off with another goal from Teign who moved into third place above Falmouth in the league table.
Attention for Falmouth now turns to the County Cup Final on April 18 when they play Newquay at Penzance.
