FOREST Dunn qualified for the Northwest 200 race in Ireland next month after finsihing 25th in round one of the National Superstock Championship at Donington Park.
Handling problems during Practice and only three firing cylinders during qualifying meant that the Falmouth-based rider had to start from the back of the grid.
In order to have a shot at the highly competitive Northwest 200, Dunn needed to cross the line safely and he did so whilst achieving a new personal best lap record of 1:35.9.
After the race, Dunn said: βIt was hard work but I managed to do what needed to be done despite the mechanical issues.β
