THERE were 69 entrants at Falmouth Golf Club for the Easter Saturday Stableford sponsored by Kelsall Steele Investment Services Limited, writes Keith Rashleigh.

Conditions were cool and dry on a day where the first hole proved the most difficult with an average score of 1.37 over par and the 12th hole proving the easiest at an average of 0.48 over.

Matt Roberts, who has a handicap of ten, led the field in with a superb haul of 43 points including birdies at the second, sixth and 16th holes.

Runner-up was Paul Collins with another good score of 40 including birdies at the 11th and 14th while Ian “Henry” Churcher took third place with a fine total of 39.

This Saturday sees the Battershill Salver Qualifier take place at the course.
