MYLOR Cons’ unbeaten streak continues after beating Camborne School of Mines 4-1 in the South West Shinty League on Sunday, writes Sam Moore.

Goals for Mylor came from Alex Sivyer and Adrian Roberts who scored two each in a hard-fought match which leaves their side in with a shot of a league title if they can best current leaders Mabe.

Siyver gave Mylor an early lead after just nine minutes. However CSM’s attacking trio of Jack Gleadowe, Luke Sparrow and Jack Dukes pushed through their defences, allowing Michael Walters to claim an equaliser.

A strong forward line-up from Mylor hit back, peppering the defending goal with on-target shots.

CSM’s defence dutifully hit many attempts back up field until the pressure proved too great, with Roberts and Sivyer claiming three goals between them in quick succession.

With only a couple of matches of the league left to play and being only three points behind Mabe, Mylor will no doubt be battling hard for the top slot in the coming weeks.
