IN the penultimate Penrose Sails Series, a good turnout produced some interesting racing at Mylor Yacht Club, writes Steve Nicholls.
E Class saw 4Play score their first victory over rivals Aura of the year after they made a spectacular start to the race.
Proceedings were close for those in U Class as Lez Beez Neez pushed the highly fancied pre-race favourite Mary Boon into second place, with Tomaray coming third.
Chalonnaise's crew continued to dominate proceedings in Q Class as they sailed their way to another victory ahead of Mara and Odessey.
Crews based at the club were also finally able to complete the first BT Marine Bay Series of the season after two previous attempts fell foul to poor weather.
Race officer Bob Shearer set a good course to provide a three hour race around Falmouth Bay ending at the Governor buoy on a glorious day.
Taking first place was Noon High, skippered by Jack Penty, who got ahead of Mary Boon and Aura.
