JUST a fortnight after joining the club, Piran Trezise won his first tournament as a Budock Vean member.

He claimed the spoils on Sunday, topping the leaderboard as players battled for the President's Putter with his score of 67 winning it on countback from Andrew Varney.

Following the top two were a quintet of players who finished on 69 with Stephen Crouch, David Penrose, Rod Butler, David Tippett and Jenny Wake hitting the same score.

With her round, Wake claimed the ladies prize.

Earlier in the week, the seniors played a Stableford competition for their Captain's Day with Malcolm Hooper winning on countback from David Townsend with a score of 39.

The ladies also hosted an Invitation Day with a Greensomes competition being held.

Each Budock female brought a friend from another club along and the winning duo were Mo Salome and Newquay's Kay Willetts, who finished with a total of 40.
