Wendron’s title hopes suffered a blow with a 52 run defeat at home to Mt Hawke & Porthtowan.

Mt Hawke were 167 all out with three wickets each for Ryan Mitchell and Ryan Whitbread.

Wendron’s batting failed with extras top scoring in their 115 all out with Antony Harris making 17 and Jack Mitchell was 15 not out.

Mullion got a welcome third win of the season with a three wicket success at home to Botallack & St Levan.

The visitors made 192-7 with three wickets each for Ryan Tonkin and Dan Johnson.

David Brown made 82 in the Mullion reply and Mark Hall 44 before Johnson’s 22 not out got them over the line, with just three balls to spare.

Mullion are at leaders Goldsithney on Saturday.

St Gluvias seconds remain in second spot in Division Four after a six wicket home win over Camborne.

The highlight of the day was a hat-trick from captain and club chairman Richard Bannister as the seamer took seven wickets for 25 from 8.2 overs.

This rattled through the visiting batting line-up and saw the Saints set a target of 144 to win.

Reaching the total was comfortable enough for the home side with Chris Johnson top scoring with 29 and Gabriel Williamson, who has recently put in some good knocks for the thirds, hitting 27 not out.
