AN OWN goal was enough for Falmouth Town to pull off a fantastic victory at home to Saltash United in the South West Peninsula League Premier clash last night.
Mike Vanes' lob came back off the crossbar and hit defender Lewis Russell who was left helpless as the ball went over the line in the 55th minute.
Both sides finished the game at Bickland Park with ten men as United's goalkeeper Tom Blackler was sent off on the half hour mark before Rob Wearne got his marching orders for Town after receiving a second booking.
In the SWPL West, Porthleven were denied three points when Joe Ahearne scored deep into second half injury time to cancel out Ryan Trathen's earlier goal.
Mullion followed up their 3-0 win over St Agnes on Saturday in the Jolly's Combination League with a 2-1 victory at Clifden Parc against Perranwell.
Rob Carey scored both of Mullion's goals whole Rob Trethewey pulled one back for the away side.
Strikes from Kyle Cooke, Jason Roberts and Reggie May helped Penryn Athletic Reserves defeat Holman SC 3-0.
