A tally of 45 points saw David Penrose finished well ahead of the field
DAVID Penrose had an outstanding day at Budock Vean Golf Club on Sunday as he won a Stableford match by six points.
The player finished on 45 putting him well ahead of second placed Geoff Mills with Keith Whitbread coming third on 38 as half the field achieved par or better on the day.
On Wednesday, the ladies played two competitions with the Benney Medal Winners Cup and a Stableford being contested.
Taking home the cup was Nina Hann ahead of Jenny Wake and Sue Parsons, while the Stableford was was won by Philippa Oliver on countback from Glen Bateson.
The club's senior team took on Cape Cornwall in a friendly match which finished 3-3.
