DAVID Tippett hosted his Captain's Day at Budock Vean Golf Club on Sunday with £300 raised for charity.

The cash was donated to the club's chosen charity of the year, BF Adventure, with players taking to the course for a Stableford competition and an option of buying up to five Mulligans for £2 each.

Another annual event was held on Wednesday at the club as the ladies hosted the senior members for a mixed greensomes.

An hours delay occurred at the start with the course too wet to play until 1pm, although conditions were still very damp underfoot.

It was decided to just play nine holes and winning on countback were the duo of Bateson and Tony Grace as they scored 21, as did runners-up Nina Hann and Colin Parsons.

A day earleir, the seniors played Cape Cornwall in a friendly and drew 3-3.
