GOLFERS at Mullion went onto the course to play for the Gordon Dunnell Trophy.

The competition held on Thursday is contested in memory of Dunnell, from Porthleven, who was a supporter of the club until his death last year.

In the Betterball pairs Stableford format, the duo of John Moody and Neil Carpenter came out on top with 44 points with the latter's gross round of 73 helping greatly.

Tom Suddes and Trevor Bryant finished second, four points behind the victors, while Arthur King and Peter Norton were third on countback with their total of 39.
